LEGAL
Terms of Service
The essentials of using PastPaperGrind, from your first practice question to managing a subscription.
Last updated:
01Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms apply when you use PastPaperGrind. Read them before creating an account or purchasing access. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Mandatory consumer rights are not limited by these Terms.
02Eligibility and account requirements
You must be legally able to use the service and agree to these Terms in your country. Where permission or consent from a parent or guardian is legally required, it must be obtained before use. A parent or guardian should help younger students understand these Terms.
Use accurate account information and only a sign-in account you are authorised to use. A paid purchase must be made by someone legally able and authorised to make it.
03What PastPaperGrind provides
PastPaperGrind offers subject and topic practice, exam-style papers, answer feedback, saved questions, revision statistics, mistake review and study rewards. Available content and features depend on your plan and selected subjects.
04Your account
Keep your account information up to date. Your account is for your personal study; do not resell access or share it with others. You can manage preferences and request permanent deletion from Account.
05Account security
Protect your sign-in account and sign out on shared devices. Let support know if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise; this does not remove any rights you have concerning unauthorised use.
06Free and paid access
Free access includes selected practice content. Paid access adds the features listed on the Pricing page. Free access does not create a paid subscription without a purchase.
07Subscriptions
Monthly and yearly subscriptions are available. The billing interval and included features are shown before purchase. Current pricing is shown on the Pricing page before purchase.
08Billing and taxes
The checkout shows the amount, currency and any applicable taxes before you confirm payment. You authorise payment for the selected subscription. Keep billing details current. If payment fails, paid access may be restricted until the issue is resolved.
09Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year, according to the interval you selected, until cancelled. Your payment method is charged for each renewal. Check Account for your renewal date.
10Cancellation
Open Account, then Manage subscription, to cancel through the billing service. Follow the confirmation steps and check the displayed end date. A cancellation scheduled for the end of the paid period stops the next renewal and leaves paid access available until that date. Afterward, free access remains.
Deleting your account is different: it removes your study data and cancels active subscriptions immediately. Account deletion does not automatically issue a refund.
11Refunds
Our Refund Policy explains how to ask for a refund, including duplicate charges and exceptional circumstances. Cancelling stops future renewal; it does not by itself refund earlier charges. Any applicable statutory cancellation or refund rights still apply.
12Educational use
PastPaperGrind is a revision and educational practice platform, not an official examination board. It supports learning and exam preparation, but no particular grade or result is guaranteed. Check your own syllabus and examination board requirements. Features, syllabus coverage and question availability may change.
13Content accuracy
We aim to make practice content useful and accurate, but questions, explanations and automated marking can contain mistakes or omissions. Feedback is a learning aid, not an official assessment. Compare it with your course materials and report anything that seems wrong.
14Exam results
PastPaperGrind does not guarantee a pass, a particular grade, admission, or that any question will appear in an examination. Your results depend on many factors beyond using the service.
15Intellectual property
PastPaperGrind and its rights holders retain rights in the service and its content. You may use content for personal learning within your access rights. Other uses require permission unless applicable law permits them. Examination board names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. See Copyright for details.
16Respectful conduct
Use the service responsibly for learning. Keep support messages respectful and avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or anyone else.
17Prohibited use
Do not bypass access restrictions, extract content at scale, resell accounts, attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service, infringe rights or use it to facilitate academic misconduct. The Acceptable Use Policy provides more detail.
18Suspension and termination
We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, unlawful activity or a security risk. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve it. Urgent protective action may happen without advance notice. Contact support if you think a restriction is mistaken. Mandatory refund and consumer rights remain applicable.
19Third-party services
Sign-in, payment services and external educational resources may have their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for external content we do not control. A link does not imply endorsement or official affiliation.
20Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance, faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control may interrupt access. Continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Your statutory remedies for service failures remain unaffected.
21Feature and price changes
We may update content and features. Where a change materially affects paid access, we will provide appropriate notice and any choices required by law. Price changes apply prospectively with notice before a renewal at the new price, so you can cancel.
Promotional prices and discount codes apply only on the conditions shown with the offer and accepted at checkout. Check when a discount ends and the renewal amount. A promotion does not guarantee the same discount on future renewals.
22Liability
We are responsible to the extent required by applicable law. Where law permits, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, business losses arising from personal study use, or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your mandatory consumer protections remain intact.
23Responsibility for misuse
You remain responsible under applicable law for unlawful conduct and harm you cause through misuse. These Terms do not impose a general obligation on student consumers to indemnify PastPaperGrind.
24Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will give appropriate notice of material changes and obtain agreement where required by law; updates do not remove rights you already have.
25Governing law and your rights
Mandatory protections that apply where you live remain available. These Terms do not restrict any court or dispute-resolution rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
26Contact
Use the Contact page for questions about these Terms, billing or your account. Privacy and copyright enquiries have their own contact categories.
